i’m eggistential

jeri_wakei am a 34 year old designer living in connecticut with my husband in a brown colonial filled with plants. after 2 years of trying to have a family i was diagnosed with high fsh and premature ovarian failure at 32.  basically early menopause, but not violent enough to have the ‘full-on throwing lamps smashing up my husbands boat’, menopause. and i was so looking forward to it.

i love all things art and design, landscaping, architecture, painting, interior design, gardening. i grow lots of veg in the summer. I love new england and the change of the seasons. I really like change. I love tea. I like to cook. i make a pretty good wedding soup.  i pretty much started the mac revolution, i have been a mac user since 1995.
i am a yoga instructor in my free time, i love to teach vinyasa or power. when i am not working as a web site designer, teaching or practicing yoga, i like to wakeboard and foil board (in summer) and snowshoe and snowboard in the winter. my wakeboard is pink but it jumps pretty high.

If you want to learn more about the beginning of my diagnosis, you can read this post.

  1. I love your blog and feel that we have some similar outlooks. My donor’s retrieval is tomorrow. She has only 7 follicles which was a disappointment/surprise to everyone. Please keep your fingers crossed that there will be 7 beautiful eggs tomorrow! Our schedules are going to overlap as my FET is scheduled for Nov 12th. I will watch your blog but let me know if you need anything. I will be thinking about you tons!!
